Westside Remodeling transformed an all-original 1970s home into a fully updated living space for a homeowner in the Greater Mulwood neighborhood of Calabasas, California. The project reimagined the kitchen, remodeled two bathrooms, updated the fireplace, and installed new flooring throughout — completed in two phases so the homeowner could continue living in the home the entire time.

Why the Client Wanted This Remodel

The home was an outdated 1970s original that hadn't been touched since it was built — a closed-off kitchen, dated bathrooms, and a fireplace and ceiling treatment that no longer matched how the family wanted to live. The goal was to open the kitchen up to the great room, modernize both bathrooms, and bring the whole home current, all while keeping the homeowner living there throughout construction.
